Dual-lens Synology compatibility guide
Compare Duo models by the resolution, firmware and Device Pack listed by Synology, then open the exact compatibility report for feature-level details.
Choose the connection type for your installation; a higher listed resolution alone does not establish better image quality or broader feature support.
These rows summarize current Synology compatibility entries. CameraCompat’s own verdict remains the reviewed relationship shown above; the platform table does not expand an UNKNOWN result.

PoE variants
PoE is a natural fit when Ethernet can be run to the camera and a wired surveillance network is preferred. The actual Synology feature result still comes from the exact model relationship.
Wi-Fi variants
Wi-Fi can reduce the need for a data cable, but the camera still needs its documented power source and reliable wireless coverage. Do not infer that its Synology behavior is identical to the PoE version.
Higher-resolution generations
A higher published resolution can increase storage and bandwidth requirements. It does not by itself establish better image quality or better Synology interoperability.
Synology compatibility is scoped to tested software and camera conditions. If the exact model is missing or behaves differently, verify the current Device Pack and the camera firmware before assuming the relationship has changed.
A native Reolink profile can expose vendor-specific behavior that a generic protocol path does not. ONVIF and RTSP remain useful connection methods, but they should not be treated as equivalent feature sets.
Dual-lens cameras can expose multiple streams with different codec or resolution characteristics. CameraCompat surfaces the reviewed stream and codec evidence when it is available instead of assuming every stream behaves the same way.
Compatibility statuses, feature states and product capability values shown on this page come from CameraCompat's reviewed public data.
Unlisted models, missing capabilities and absent relationships remain unresolved. They are not inferred from a sibling model, a protocol logo or a brand-wide assumption.
Yes. The Synology entry summarized above lists Duo 3 PoE with Device Pack 6.2.2 and tested firmware v3.0.0.3632_2406192112, up to 7680×2160. Stream 1 uses H.265 and stream 2 uses H.264; tampering detection is not supported. This listing does not guarantee every feature or firmware version.
Use the connection path that is documented for the feature you need. A native profile and ONVIF can expose different functionality.
No. Resolution, codecs, firmware and target-system feature support are separate considerations.
No. UNKNOWN means the reviewed evidence is insufficient for an overall conclusion.
