Reolink CX410 vs RLC-811A: resolution, codecs and lens choice
CX410 and RLC-811A have different documented image dimensions and codec lists. RLC-811A also has a published optical zoom record. Start with those concrete requirements; this corpus does not justify declaring either model the better night camera.
Compare documented camera specifications
This is a selected group of documented models, not the complete Reolink catalogue or a stock list. A missing model has not been assessed here. Open a product name for its full record.
Unknown does not mean unsupported. Open Scope and sources beside a value to check the source date and hardware/firmware scope. Unspecified revisions are not a promise that every revision has the same feature.
Resolution changes the recording requirement
The RLC-811A record has the larger frame dimensions, while the two cameras share documented power characteristics in this selection. Larger dimensions do not establish better low-light performance or prove that your recorder can use the full stream. Check its accepted profile and codec alongside the camera specification.
Choose what your installation requires
- Choose CX410 when its published image format and codec meet your recording needs and you have separately verified any low-light requirement that drives the purchase.
- Choose RLC-811A when its documented optical zoom or larger image dimensions are required, provided the receiving system supports the intended stream and controls.
- If you are considering a CX-family resolution upgrade instead, continue to the existing CX810 versus CX410 page. It answers a different model-selection question.
Keep missing evidence out of the recommendation
An unknown CX410 optical-zoom cell is not a reviewed negative specification. Confirm lens behavior if it decides the purchase. This comparison contains no measured night footage, dynamic-range comparison or identification-distance test; consult exact-model evidence for those requirements rather than inferring them from the CX or RLC family name.
These are camera specifications. They do not establish which features work through Synology, Home Assistant or a Reolink NVR. Check the exact camera, integration, recorder revision and firmware before buying for a particular system.

Evidence and purchasing scope
The tables use the current published capability records. Each known value links to its manufacturer source and shows its capture date and scope. We have not tested these cameras side by side. Selection is based on documented differences, independently of merchant offers; current availability, price and bundled accessories are not verified.
