Reolink RLC-511W vs E1 Outdoor: zoom and installation checks
RLC-511W and E1 Outdoor both have documented WiFi and optical zoom in the corpus. Their zoom factors and enclosure ratings differ, making those useful starting points for a purchase decision. Audio and tracking records add context without turning missing data into negative claims.
Compare documented camera specifications
This is a selected group of documented models, not the complete Reolink catalogue or a stock list. A missing model has not been assessed here. Open a product name for its full record.
Unknown does not mean unsupported. Open Scope and sources beside a value to check the source date and hardware/firmware scope. Unspecified revisions are not a promise that every revision has the same feature.
Compare framing and enclosure requirements separately
The RLC-511W record lists the larger optical zoom factor; E1 Outdoor has published native two-way-audio and auto-tracking entries. That does not prove the same functions absent on RLC-511W. Their different enclosure ratings should be checked against the intended mounting conditions and manufacturer instructions, rather than treated as an overall quality ranking.
Choose for your intended use
- Choose RLC-511W when its documented optical zoom range meets your framing requirement and its power and enclosure specifications fit the mounting point.
- Choose E1 Outdoor when its documented zoom range is adequate and its recorded native audio or tracking features match your needs. Verify any requirement to control them through another system.
- If the purchase depends on an unknown cell, resolve it with exact-model documentation before ordering. Do not choose the other camera merely because this corpus contains more records for it.
Check the complete wireless installation
Both network coverage and power availability need attention at the intended position. Confirm adapter details, wireless bands and mounting accessories with the exact model documentation. The table does not compare connection reliability, night image quality or software responsiveness, and a larger zoom factor alone does not prove better identification at distance.
These are camera specifications. They do not establish which features work through Synology, Home Assistant or a Reolink NVR. Check the exact camera, integration, recorder revision and firmware before buying for a particular system.

Evidence and purchasing scope
The tables use the current published capability records. Each known value links to its manufacturer source and shows its capture date and scope. We have not tested these cameras side by side. Selection is based on documented differences, independently of merchant offers; current availability, price and bundled accessories are not verified.
