Reolink missing from Synology: check Device Pack and firmware

What Device Pack changes

Synology describes Device Pack as enhancing Surveillance Station camera compatibility and provides an update indicator in its package interface. Its support list is the place to inspect exact model and supported functions. Reolink’s failed-add troubleshooting separately checks open ports, current camera firmware, address, credentials, port and the selected connection protocol.

Do not equate discovery with a working feature

A profile appearing in the add-camera dialog is only a starting point. A camera can authenticate yet lack a working stream, or stream video without sending a requested event. Record exact versions when reporting the result to Synology or Reolink support.

Check your setup

1. Write down the exact camera model, hardware and firmware; look for that exact entry and its feature list in Synology’s official support list.
2. Check the installed Surveillance Station and Device Pack versions and any offered update. Read its requirements before updating and keep a record of the old profile.
3. If discovery still fails, check the camera’s enabled ONVIF, RTSP and HTTP ports as applicable, plus IP address, credentials and illegal-login lockout.
4. Try the documented Reolink or ONVIF addition method appropriate to your required features. Confirm the selected video stream and event/audio functions independently.

What this does not establish

No specific update or firmware version is prescribed for all Reolink cameras. The correct version and available features depend on the exact camera and NAS software scope.
